I jumped from the second floor of the villa, sustaining severe injuries from the impact. Dixon had frantically bolted down the stairs in my moment of mania. On the first floor, he saw my paper-white face, and his lips began to tremble uncontrollably. His body shook violently as he stumbled toward me. He stretched out his hands in an attempt to hug me.
As I lay on the ground, paralyzed by pain, I felt a drop of blood trickle down from my scar. It seemed like a new wound had opened on the old bruise. I blinked weakly and said in a scarily calm tone, "This is my determination never to forgive you."
His voice trembled as he muttered, "You would rather die?"
"I've spent enough of my youth on you."

I smiled weakly and said, "Have you ever been kind to me?"
