Giovanni's Perspective
I stood in the vast rotunda, my eyes fixed coldly ahead. The golden chandeliers cast a warm glow, their light reflecting off the walls adorned with the emblems of the wolves.
This feast was no ordinary one—it marked the beginning of new alliances and promises.
The long table at the center of the hall was draped with an ornate white tablecloth, decorated with exquisite dishes and drinks. Yet, to me, it all seemed to pale in comparison, unable to ease the deep-seated resistance I felt.
"Alpha, you seem a little distracted," Tobias whispered from the sidelines. Dressed in a formal black suit, his demeanor was calm, but a flicker of concern flashed in his eyes.
I shook my head softly, took a deep breath, and glanced up. "Just bracing myself for the stress of being a VIP." I didn't particularly enjoy the feeling of being watched.
