The dawn was just beginning to break as Taylor, Alex, and Jordan sat together on the park bench, the first light of morning casting a soft, ethereal glow around them. The silence between them was comfortable, a stark contrast to the intensity of the emotions that had filled the night before. Taylor glanced at Jordan, who had calmed down, though the traces of her tears were still visible.
“Jordan,” Taylor began softly, breaking the silence, “I know this isn’t easy for you, and I’m so sorry for any pain I’ve caused.”
Jordan shook her head, a small, sad smile on her lips. “Taylor, you don’t need to apologize. I’ve had time to think, and I realize now that I was holding onto something that wasn’t there anymore. You’ve moved on, and it’s time I did the same.”
Alex shifted beside Taylor, her hand gently resting on Taylor’s back, offering silent support. Taylor leaned into the touch, feeling the warmth of Alex’s presence grounding her. “I’ll always care about you, Jordan,” Taylor continued
