Vivian regarded the man in front of her with a calm smile. Despite his polished, handsome look and gold-framed glasses, she couldn't bring herself to like him. It was just like when they first met in Ethan's lakeside mansion.
"Dr. Herrera," Vivian pretended to be taken aback, "You seem to be mistaken. My last patient wasn't a retired teacher, but a retired official named Thompson."
"His children were a handful, but luckily, his youngest daughter came back from overseas. She brought her trusted caregiver and nanny to take over, so we were able to step back."
Vivian responded to Brevard's loaded questions with accuracy and confidence, leaving him momentarily speechless.
"Hmm, I must have mixed things up in my recent hectic schedule. As long as everything worked out, that's what matters. Mr. Benton recently lost someone very close to him, so he might be on edge. Keep that in mind when you're taking care of him."
