Chapter 63: Regrets of Last Night
Hangover: that natural reminder that you either had way too much fun or made a complete fool of yourself the previous night. Or maybe both? For Christina, she was firmly in that "both" category. She had done some pretty dumb things last night, but there was no denying that she’d also had a lot of fun. Unfortunately, that fun seemed to be limited to last night, because this morning was anything but fun or pretty.
The sound of the chiming doorbell made Christina painfully aware of her splitting headache. Her mind started sluggishly functioning, and she became conscious of the dehydrated layer of saliva coating her lips. When the doorbell rang again, it felt like her brain was about to swell beyond the capacity of her skull. Wrapped up tightly in her duvet, she buried her face deeper into her pillow, trying to block out the noise of the world.
