Bad luck is often misunderstood. We tend to label unfortunate events as bad luck when, in reality, it might just be that our good luck has simply run its course. And when that happens, fate steps in, taking over where luck left off. Fate, as it turns out, always finds a way to make its presence known.
Christina was one who firmly believed in bad luck and its ability to wreak havoc on a person’s life. Darren, however, held a different perspective. To him, everything, whether good or bad, happened for a reason. He believed that you could try to escape destiny, but when fate decided to step in, there was no outrunning it.
As for Christina and Darren, they had no idea that fate had already started playing its game with them. The pieces were moving, but it would take time for them to fully grasp what was happening.
