Chapter 40: At Her Worst
Because of her poor driving skills, Christina was extremely vigilant, cautious, and attentive as she made her way back to the apartment complex. The tension in her body only began to ease as she drove into the underground parking lot, breathing a sigh of relief that she had reached without any mishaps. However, her relief was premature.
Just as she was about to park the car, a cat suddenly darted out into the middle of her path. Startled, Christina swerved instinctively, losing control for a split second. With a loud bang, the car collided with something solid. Her body jolted forward, but the seatbelt held her in place, preventing any physical harm. Still, she felt her head slump against the steering wheel in despair.
