Chapter 32

　　WE’RE TOGETHER. 　　The moment George asks his mother that question, he makes her sit on the couch that is placed in the middle of the room. He asks her again, “Mom, why did you cheat on dad?” I don’t like anyone being cornered, let alone your own mother, so I go to the kitchen to get water for everyone, and then maybe I could make tea or coffee for them so as to avoid being in the same room. I want to give them privacy and want to call Neil to help me, but he is loved deeply by Brittany. She might want him in the room to comfort her since she is fonder of him more than she is of her own son, George. I am the only one who is from a different country and hence George’s family hasn’t been really accepting of me even though they never show it, but the little things they don’t do for me remind me of that. 　　Because there is an open kitchen here and not very far from where they are sitting, I am still able to hear them even though I don’t want to.
