CHAPTER 92

“Careful,” I said as Blake climbed the tree and he grinned down at me before going higher so he could get the last thing on our list – a fruit which was a cross between a banana and a pineapple. The tree had been created years ago by one of the professors who practiced magic, but since its fruit didn’t taste quite right, it was abandoned.
“Want me to get an extra one so you can try it?” Blake asked after plucking one fruit and I narrowed my eyes at him because he’d just told me the fruit didn’t taste right.
“I think I’ll pass.”
“You sure?” His grin grew wider before he dropped the fruit in his hand and I surprisingly caught it. I then kept it in the backpack we’d brought which already contained the other four things on our list.
“Yeah, I’m sure,” I replied and he snorted before he resumed getting the fruits – we needed five. I glanced at Sandra and Ethan who were only a couple of feet away from us and seemed to be arguing about something, and when I returned my attentio
