I replied to the council member’s message, telling him I hadn’t spoken to Lenore yet but I planned to do so soon, which was the same thing I’d been telling the council and my uncle ever since they started asking me to talk to Lenore about an alliance between our packs. They’d been understanding so far when I told them that, but I knew they’d soon grow tired of it and I had to act before then.
I shut the room’s door behind me and walked over to my bed, plopping down on it before the article I’d read about students going missing when ghosts became erratic came back to mind. ‘They’d all been found dead.’
