Ryan pov We had been traveling in the opposite direction that I had sent Amber and Lily off in with the driver from Alpha King Andrew when Tom suddenly slammed his foot on the brakes and we screeched to a halt in the middle of the backroad. “What’s going on?” I growled impatiently, eager to be off and hunt down these motherfuckers that had the audacity to try and go after my mate. When he didn’t answer immediately I turned to look at him and noticed his eyes glazed over and I frowned. Who could possibly be contacting him at this critical time? I waited impatiently as my wolf paced and as he dropped the link and turned to face me, I noticed that his hands were gripping onto the steering wheel so tightly that his knuckles were white. “We need to move, Amber and Lilly’s car has been ambushed. The driver is dead and Amber has shifted to defend Lilly.” Tom announced tersely as he put his foot on the accelerator and completed a U-Turn, the car’s tires squealing in protest as the distinct sme
