ALEXIS'S POV
"You mean to ask how am I not fainted, and well, drugged with the wolfsbane you injected inside me? Yeah? That's what you wanted to ask?" I asked before I rolled my eyes and kicked her in the abdomen.
I hate people who attack from behind the most. And this has been the second time someone tried to kill me from behind in the last 24 hours.
"This is not possible. Are you not a lantern? How are you immune to this?" She asked me, coughing out blood.
"Well, I don't know what lantern shit you have been talking about, but I know one thing for sure. I hate it when people act sneaky with me. We human beings should have some manners, don't you think so?" I said, emphasizing the human being partly to assure her that I was a human.
I am sure she isn't alone in all this, and I can't risk having my identity and form revealed like this.
