Ruby felt her breathing quicken at his words. Her wolf raged inside her, oozing out waves of anger she had no choice but to project. Her skin itched with fright and annoyance as Noah's words sank in. Noah was never the target. It was her. She imagined herself still standing on the balcony, looking out at the driveway.
