CHAPTER SIXTY-ONE
Ruby stared down at the rows of flowers lined at the edge of the house. She had never noticed them during her stay there—even on the day Noah had taken her out to the clearing, the day she shifted. How could she when her life revolved around being with him? She loved spending every waking moment with him.
Her eyes glided over the variety of paste carnations—roses, snapdragon, lisianthus, chamomile, poppy. A frown marred her face as she observed the garden. The last time she gardened was when she was at Duskfall. Images of Dorian and Lily flashed in her mind. She still felt terrible for abandoning them the way she did—Ruby wondered and prayed they were doing well, tending to their gardens and living the happy, peaceful life she almost destroyed with her bad ambiance.
