CHAPTER FORTY-FIVE

Ruby groaned and stood up from her bed. Throwing her arms over her head, she stretched her joints, which were growing stiff by the second. Pushing the balcony's glass door open, she stepped out, letting the sunlight kiss her skin. Sucking in a breath, she sighed in relief. Noah had an important meeting to attend, and much to her dismay and his, he had to leave. Ruby had asked to go to the office with him, but he refused, stating that she needed as much rest and time to get used to her wolf as possible. At the thought of the beast, she felt her stretch as if also basking in the sunlight. A smile tugged at the corner of her lip. "Where have you been all this time?" Ruby asked her wolf. Her wolf whined inside her and sat up. Although she could feel her, she had a long way to go before completely understanding her. Ruby sighed and stepped back into her room. She was bored. She thought about calling Linda or Sonia, but they would be busy with their work. One more minute in the silence
