Chapter Ninety Five- Help
“Don’t get too attached to her. We won’t be staying long.”
Mary’s voice rang clear in the quickly approaching night sky.
Andrew didn’t his grip on the child as he glared at Mary. She just had to open her big mouth and ruin everything.
Couldn’t she stay silent for five minutes? That’s all he asked for. No. She had to go around and say something to disrupt the father and daughters special bonding moment.
“Are you threatening to take her away from me?”
Andrew picked Amy up so that the child was propped on his hip. His daughter stared up at him without saying anything. She was quiet but very intelligent. He had only met her now for the first time but it was obvious.
Almost as if she had wisdom of some sort from a past life. She was observant of things, that was for sure.
Mary let out a sharp bark of laughter. She had been observing the tombstones for a while now. Bending down, Mary pulled out a fresh bouquet of flowers from seemingly out of thin air.
