Chapter Fifty Nine- Pandas and Lions
The next two months simply flew by.
Rafael often dropped in unannounced, eager to check up on Mia and her worsening health. The woman was getting crankier day by day. Her stomach was getting bigger, her cravings out of control and her mood swings were nearly enough to knock out Lorenzo.
“Are you excited?”
Mia grunted her reply. She was shattered. The woman had spent most of last night throwing her guts up. Mia had thought she’d be one of the lucky few who didn’t get early morning vomit symptoms. She hated the feeling of vomiting and she counted her lucky stars that it hadn’t started. Her luck soon ran out. Mia didn’t realize until it was too late and her head was in the toilet bowl.
Her vomiting had started late and was dragging on for a little too long now.
“I’m too tired to be excited.”
