Chapter Forty Six- Close Call
Lucas and Phoebe’s hearts were beating a mile a minute.
Phoebe lay on the ground, her dress was pooled all around her legs and her hair had scattered around her like a halo. She looked like a fallen angel at peace as she lay there with her head on the ground and eyes closed shut.
The woman took deep even breaths. Her eyes weren’t scrunched close and her lips were parted in an effortless way.
Everyone around her was panicking.
Phoebe was a great actress. She was glad that she had been part of the drama club in highschool because that was what was ultimately saving her hide at this moment in time.
A few shrieks echoed across the upper portion of the large crowd. Phoebe always thought that rich people were rather dramatic. It was apparent in the way a hum carried across the crowd.
