Savannah said to Robert, "Thank you for coming to pick me up. I might not have been able to get away otherwise." Robert started the car. "Don't mention it. I should be thanking you. You came back to save my project. The original lead actress backed out. If we start the shooting late, we would've faced huge losses." Robert was the director who had previously contacted Savannah. They were college friends, one majoring in acting and the other in directing. In fact, Savannah's return to the country was prompted by his invitation. "I've arranged a place for you to stay. Since the movie will take a while to finish, hotels just wouldn't be convenient. I happen to have an empty apartment for you to move into. It's all set up," Robert added. The apartment was small but cozy, with its large floor-to-ceiling windows offering a beautiful view. It was clean and well-prepared.
