CHAPTER 505: WRONG SUSPICION
George paced in his office, the plush carpet muffling his footsteps. The office smelled faintly of leather and polished wood, a comforting scent that usually soothed his nerves. But not today.
Arthur, his assistant, stood just inside the door, looking uneasy. "Sir," he said, his voice barely above a whisper, "I thought you should know that Benjamin has organized a staff hangout. He... he didn't include you."
George stopped mid-stride, his body going rigid. He turned slowly to face Arthur; his jaw clenched so tightly that a muscle twitched in his cheek. His usually calm blue eyes were stormy, a tempest brewing beneath the surface.
"Is that so?" George said, his voice low and measured. He crossed the room in three long strides, his tailored suit emphasizing his broad shoulders and commanding presence. He placed his hands on his desk, leaning forward slightly. "And where exactly is this hangout taking place?"
