CHAPTER 500: THE KISS

The sound of shattering glass and screeching tires filled the air. Lauretta and George were ducked behind a parked car. "We need to get out of here, now!" George yelled; his voice barely audible over the chaos. Lauretta nodded; her eyes wide with fear. "We'll move on three. One, two, three!" Together, they dashed to the nearest alleyway. The gunmen had gotten down from the car and rushed after them. George's mind raced with thoughts of escape and survival as they ran.
