CHAPTER 436: THE OPEN TRUTH
The whole atmosphere felt still for a moment.
Only the loud clock ticking could be heard in the room; it was as though a bombshell had just been dropped, taking off the ability to speak from everyone.
Lauretta inhaled deeply.
"I can't do this," Lauretta said while dropping a file that contained video evidence of Alexander's crime.
"I'm out of here," she added while heading toward the door
"Lauretta, wait!" George called out to her, but she had already left the room.
Lauretta walked along the big hallway, her hands tucked into her sweatshirt. She walked steadily, trying to avoid the emotions that overwhelmed her.
She couldn't wrap her hands over what Alexander said about her family.
She could still hear George's voice screaming at Alexander. He accused him of what he had just said being false, But Lauretta knew it was useless; what Alexander had said was so concrete.
