CHAPTER 396: MOVING ON
At dawn the following day, Lauretta was back in the hospital more determined than ever. She had spent an uncomfortable night at a hotel nearby with her heart in her hands, willing Cameron to be okay.
She had blamed her heart for not knowing what it wanted. Ryan and Cameron have been sweet to her, yet she couldn't give them what they wanted.
She made her way through the elevators; this time, she bumped into Ryan at the receptionist.
"Ryan…" she said weakly, her eyes pleading.
Ryan regarded her. The stormy, angry expression slowly came back on his face.

Dads’ dad. He is stable at the moment." He spoke into the phone. Lauretta stood awkwardly watching him.
He finally hung up his call after several long minutes.
"Are you here to see if I'll go through with my threats. Lauretta?"
"There is no need for that Ryan. I came for Cameron. It is what any decent person would do." Lauretta was surprised at how firm her voice sounded despite the turmoil going on in her.
He merely scoffed,
