CHAPTER 325: CAUGHT BETWEEN TWO WORLDS
One eye opened, and then the other. Lauretta immediately placed her hand over her eyes. The rays of the morning sun were getting into the room with such intensity that she wondered if this same sun could produce vitamin D.
Grunting in discomfort, she stood up from the bed, made her way to the Louvre, pulled the curtains, and dragged them to the end of the wall. She dragged it until the whole room was partially dark.
Satisfied with the room's state, she went to the bathroom to wash off before getting ready for work.
A message popped up on her phone screen. She quickly returned to the room to check who had texted so early.
Upon returning to her room, she unlocked her phone and sat at the corner of the bed, her face beaming with smiles. She glanced at the sender's name again, her smile deepening even more.
The name displayed was Ryan, and a heart emoji accompanied it. Lauretta eagerly opened the message and read its contents:
"Hello, my sunshine. I hope this message finds you well.
