CHAPTER 307: CLOSE TO THE PERFECT MOMENT
Stanley was on his way to the dining room from the kitchen when Savannah, who had just stepped in, caught sight of him. She immediately rushed to him at the kitchen door just as he was about to step out. Grabbing his hand, she pulled him back into the kitchen and gently banged the door shut behind them. Letting out a heavy sigh, she crossed her arms under her chest and stared at him nervously as if she had forgotten what she wanted to say.
“Savannah, what is it? Did you bring me here for a staring contest or something? Do you really miss me that much?”
“Oh, shut up!” Savannah snapped, jolted back to reality by his words. “You know why I brought you here, Stanley.”
“No, I don’t. Why don’t you tell me?” Stanley replied, shifting his gaze from her to an empty spot in the air.
“You talked with Lorenzo. What was it about?”
“What do you mean? Lorenzo is my brother. I can talk to him all I want,” he snapped back.
“Oh yes, you can, but not about me. You have no business arguing with him
