CHAPTER 255: SEARCHING FOR ANSWERS

When she woke up, Lauretta glanced around the room, thinking she could see someone, but no one was around. Instead, she found a flower bouquet and a lunch box on the table. With the way it was placed, she had no doubt that it was food made with care; the placement only told a very good story of the heart it came from. Lauretta couldn't help but wonder which of her brothers was taking care of her at the moment; she knew all her brothers had a soft spot for her and would go out of their way to make her comfortable. She didn't realize they could be this sweet, bringing her flowers and lunch. A slight shade of red surfaced on her cheek, which indicated she was blushing. "There's no need to hide it, no one's here with me, "Lauretta thought but was interrupted by a knock. She turned her gaze to the door, thinking it was one of her brothers. She was excited to have them around, especially if it was the one who dropped the flower, she thought. "Come in," she said, excited. However, her swee
