CHAPTER 237 TENSION
"There's this really good place that just opened downtown; their pasta is to die for. Why don't we go there to eat?" Nicholas said.
Lauretta shook her head. "I don't think that's a good idea; I have to be somewhere soon."
"Soon, not now. Let's just grab a bite then we'd leave, please Lauretta."
She sighed. "Fine, but don't expect me to stay till the end of the meal."
"That's fine by me," Nicholas said with a smile.
The aroma of spices hit their noses the moment they stepped into the restaurant. Nicholas picked a spot where they would have a proper view of the people who walked in.
"I'll go order while you wait here," Nicholas said before he left.
Lauretta placed her purse on the table and focused on the view outside. She watched as people passed by: parents, children, lovers. Just as she was about to turn around, she caught sight of Ryan and Cameron crossing the street and heading for the restaurant.
"Oh no, this is not going to be good." She muttered.
