CHAPTER 106: SECRETS AND FIGHT

Lauretta decided it was best not to engage in any conversation with George throughout the birthday party. And she went on with her life during the party like he was absent. Soon enough, the party started coming to an end, which reduced the number of people there as everyone started to make their way home. But George was there, eyes fixed on Lauretta; it seemed as if he was able to have a clear view of her now that almost everyone was on their way. He intently watched how Lauretta conversed freely and excitedly with the few guests who had yet to leave, which made him wonder why she could never overlook his mistakes and be nice to him, too. But then, it seems that will never happen. This lady right here had moved on from him, gotten over him and his frustrating lifestyle. She had changed status overnight, and her diligence had become envious. And her expertise had brought her company to a peak. If only he had seen these potentials, both of beauty and status, but never paid attention. G
