Eryndor looked up at Elara from the water. "It's cold in the water. You should sit up there."
"Thanks." She moved her dry eyes but found herself incapable of resisting the urge to look into his eyes.
The silver orbs seemed to carry a mysterious allure. Just meeting his gaze was enough to enchant someone.
They were ethereal and aloof, easily conjuring the image of a flawless ice crystal gleaming underneath the sunlight. How could she see his eyes so clearly when they were in darkness?
Elara abruptly widened her eyes. Eryndor had grabbed her feet at some point, his cold fingers tracing her wounds. Then, he lowered his gaze and kissed them without any hint of impropriety as she watched in shock.
She sat there stiffly for a few seconds before realizing that she had to break free. However, he grabbed her ankles tightly, his fingers feeling like chains as he held her down. She couldn't move at all.
