She gave a light chuckle and shook her head. "Nope, they're for me. Are you here for a check-up, or?" she inquired, giving me a once-over. She was clearly puzzled since I didn't look sick.
"Just visiting a friend. I'm about to head out," I replied with a small smile.
"Good to hear."
She had her medicine and was ready to leave too. Figuring we were headed the same way, I offered to drop her and her child off at their place.
During the drive, we caught up on life since it had been ages since we last met. Minerva's words echoed in my mind, prompting me to ask about Inch.
"How's Inch been lately?"
She bit her lip and gave a small nod. "I saw him a few days back. He's a bit thinner, but he's looking lively. Mr. Long mentioned that if he keeps up the good behavior, he might get his sentence shortened."
