Chapter 756 Everything's changed
Lucas and the kid...
I had snapshots of Lucas tucked away, all of them captured in Mandala. Whenever Craig crosses my mind, I get this weird impulse to head back to Mandala. but it was just a fleeting thought before I shook it off. I guess I was done with Mandala for good.
I had secured a couple of plots not far from where my dad was laid to rest. Taking care of his funeral was one thing. Sorting out the final resting place for Lucas and the little one on my own was not too tough, however.
Sitting by my dad's tombstone at noon, there was this hollow feeling I could not quite put into words. The old folks always said the sun at midday carried the most shadows, and part of me hoped that if ghosts were real, I could catch up with my dad and tell him everything that happened for the last few years.
It turned out that was just wishful thinking. No ghosts, no whispered secrets. Instead, Idris showed up. He was just like he always was, decked out in black, the picture of class and grace.
