Chapter 655 A Private Word
Inch just gave me the silent treatment.
I was fine with that. I was not all that into chatting with him anyway. I took a quick look around. The containers were all huddled up. Nothing weird was going on.
On the way back, neither of us spoke. It might have been because I had gone quiet, or perhaps Inch just did not have anything to say.
When I got back, Lucas was heading my way, fast, with a worried look and sweat on his brow. "Where'd you disappear to? You could've given me a heads-up."
I grabbed his hand as if it were the most natural thing. "When nature calls, you know. You looked like you were having a good time with your drink, so I had Inch show me around. Were you guys done drinking?"
He nodded and gently rubbed my face. "You're freezing. Let's head back."
I nodded and shot Inch a playful look. "I'll come find you for some fun when I've got a minute."
He just bit his lip and glanced at Lucas, staying quiet.
