Chapter 651 I Had a Sad Dream
Lucas took my hand and led me aboard the cruise ship, "We've got a few hours before dark, and it'll be colder at sea tonight. The ship's got everything we need to stay cozy."
Knowing he had money to burn, I let it go without further fuss.
The cruise ship, as majestic as a mansion, revved up and set a course for the open sea. True to his word, it was not long before the snowflakes, thick as feathers, started to blanket the ocean.
When I was little, I had read about ‘goose-feather snow’ and pictured snowflakes as big as actual goose feathers. Now, seeing it for real, I understood that the books were not exaggerating at all. They were spot-on.
Inside the cabin, it was toasty warm. Peering out, I missed the sting of the icy air. Something was off. I turned to Lucas and asked, "Can we go out on the deck to see the snow?"
He seemed to read my mind, smiled softly, and said, "Let's go," as he took my hand.
