Chapter 604 Borrowed Time
Lucas met my gaze, his dark eyes holding secrets I could not unravel. After a long pause, he finally smiled. "It's nothing. It's just that life's been so good lately. It feels like I've somehow stolen these days."
Just then, a light rain began to fall. Before I could dwell on his words, however, a rainbow caught my eye, brightening my spirits. I tugged at his hand, bursting with excitement. "Lucas, look! There's a rainbow over there!"
As I said this, I grabbed his hand, and we dashed off toward the far side of the rainbow. The rain was light, and with Mandala's warm air, the gentle drizzle felt so cozy it was hard not to burst with joy.
