He gave a nod and a grunt of acknowledgment, then said, "They got here two hours ago, but there's no sign of Lucas and his crew yet. The cops have all the roads and railways for a hundred miles on lockdown, checking everyone coming and going. So far, no trace. They might still be holed up in the mountains." I bit my lip, thinking.
