I looked him in the eye, my voice heavy with gratitude. "Uncle Marcus, I can't thank you enough."
His eyes misted over with a soft smile. "Oh, kiddo... It's all water under the bridge. I was with your dad for years, and when he left us, I couldn't just walk away.
