CHAPTER FIFTY ONE: COFFEE SPLASH
Kelvin frowned. "What?"
Sarah leaned forward slightly, staring intensely into Kelvin's eyes.
Kelvin was taken aback by her sudden movement.
Sarah spoke slowly, each word dripping with contempt. "I'm not afraid of her."
"Trash," Sarah added.
Kelvin's eyes betrayed a hint of shattered emotions.
"Don't look at me like that," Sarah suppressed her strange emotions and continued, "Kelvin, listen to me. I don't need any help from you. Even if I end up destitute, even living on the streets, I won't accept any charity from you."
Sarah felt relieved after speaking her mind. She truly despised Kelvin. After all, when she was at her most vulnerable, he not only doubted her but also openly stood against her and joined others in slandering her.
The one thing Sarah hated most in her life was betrayal.
She admitted that she felt a flutter of emotion when Kelvin mentioned stopping Ellie from extorting her.
