The somber clouds hung low in the sky, casting a pall over the world below as mourners gathered at the small chapel to bid farewell to Anna. Jonathan stood at the entrance, his heart heavy with grief as he watched friends and family members file in, their faces drawn with sorrow. Inside, the air was heavy with the scent of lilies and the soft murmur of whispered prayers. Rows of wooden pews filled with mourners, their heads bowed in silent reverence as they paid their respects to the woman they had loved and lost. At the front of the chapel, a simple wooden casket lay draped in white, a spray of flowers adorning its lid.
