CHAPTER ONE HUNDRED AND FOURTEEEN: REDEMPTION
In the days that followed the revelation of Anna's betrayal, a thick tension settled over the house. Jonathan, true to his character, did not explode in rage or throw accusations. Instead, he retreated into a cold, silent war, one where every glance, every unspoken word, cut deeper than any shout could have.
Anna, consumed with guilt and regret, tried desperately to make amends. She cleaned the house meticulously, cooked Jonathan’s favorite meals, and did everything in her power to show that she was sorry. But Jonathan remained distant, his once warm eyes now void of any emotion when he looked at her.
