Minerva I stood by the door, my hand on the excellent brass knob, when I heard my father's voice behind me. "Minerva," he said, his tone calm yet laced with curiosity. "Where are you off to at this hour?" I turned slowly, trying to mask my annoyance with a practiced smile. "Just going for a walk, Dad. I need some fresh air."
