I had a gnawing feeling in my gut that Minerva was in danger. It wasn't just intuition; it was something more profound and primal.
My sense of smell, heightened by my werewolf abilities, caught her scent trail weaving through the forest.
I knew I had to follow it to find her before it was too late.
As I moved through the dense underbrush, the signs of recent movement were clear: broken twigs, disturbed leaves, and the faintest imprint of footprints in the soft earth.
She had been here recently. My senses were on high alert, and every fibre of my being was focused on tracking her down.
The forest was alive with the sounds of nature, but I tuned out the chirping of birds and the rustling of tiny creatures.
My attention was on the more sinister noises—the growls of Ferals lurking in the shadows and the whispering incantations of witches hiding among the trees.
I had to be ready for anything.
The first Feral attacked from my left, leaping out with a snarl.
