CHAPTER 25
As the man sang, he never took his eyes off me. Eye to eye contact, so to speak. I feel like that song is for me. I wanted to get away from the two of us staring but I couldn't. It's like I'm bound by an invisible chain.
"Brent..." I called his name when he finished singing. I was more than amazed at his singing - it was just so beautiful!
"Now, it's your turn." He said as he handed me the microphone.
I hesitated to accept it but there was nothing I could do. "Hah! Watch out for me too." Of course, my pride was slightly hurt because he said it like a challenge. Is he the only one who sings well?
When I started to sing, his eyes widened as if he couldn't believe what he heard. Oh right? Now he is not happy with my voice.
"Alright, keep going, don't stop. It's a waste of your talent if you suddenly stop singing, just ignore me and concentrate on that."
How can I focus so much that his eyes are laughing at my voice? Is it my fault that I didn't take voice lessons earlie
