After coming from the province, I went straight to the Khalifa Hotel. I intend to borrow the children and take them to the Highlands if Amir agrees. I want Akeem and Ameera to meet Maya. I texted Amir first asking if I could beg upstairs. Instead of replying to my text, the man called me. "Sweetheart, wait for me in the lobby, okay?" it said on the other line. Of course, I wondered why he called me sweetheart. Ah, maybe I just heard more. Maybe, because of what happened earlier in the cemetery, my ears immediately became different. I was just at the entrance of Khalifa when I saw Amir walking towards me. I frowned when I noticed his appearance. Something wasn't right, and I could tell it from his facial expression. "Amir, what's wrong?" I asked him when we reached the middle. But I'm nervous. What if something happened to the twins? "Jamie, please forgive me for what I'm going to do," said the man, which confused my brain even more. What is Amir saying and I can't really
