Xander's eyes widened with interest. "A date? With who?" Eleanor hesitated, unsure how much to reveal. "Just someone I used to be friends with. Someone I went to college with, kiddo. No big deal." "Used to be friends with?" "Yeah, we lost contact for a few years when I had. Ermm... We just reestablished contacts recently." Xander's eyes sparkled with excitement. He was Jo so excited to see his mother going out apart from work. And it wasn't with Harper! "Oh, wow! A friend from college? That's so cool, Mom! What's his name?" Eleanor laughed, trying to downplay the situation. "His name is Owen, sweetie. And like I said, it's no big deal. Just catching up with an old friend." Xander nodded, but his curiosity was still evident. "Owen, huh? I want to meet him, Mom. Can I meet him?" Eleanor hesitated, unsure if that was a good idea. "We'll see, kiddo.
