They say one of the most memorable moments of a woman's life is when your father walks you down the aisle. But Eleanor's own was her worst moment. Her feelings were just in conflict, and she struggled to keep them in check. She had to keep her smile warm when sadness was all she was feeling
As she walked down the aisle, arm in arm with her father, all she felt towards her family was nothing but pure resentment. Her mother would have never approved of her father's decision to marry her off to a stranger if she had been alive.
Tears filled her eyes, and she let it roll down as she thought of her mother, who had passed away a few years ago. After all, it was her wedding, and the brides did cry when they made their way down the aisle. Although nobody ever knew why they cried. Her mother would have never allowed this arranged marriage to happen and would have never let her father dictate her fate. No, allow her to agree to this rubbish. Was it not rubbish?
