I was sure Caleb wouldn't dare to do it. That was why I'd provoked him. To my surprise, he was more of a daredevil than I'd expected. I supposed the rumors that he wasn't afraid of anything were true.
"Deal. Don't regret this, Carissa," he said.
He released me, helped me buckle my seatbelt, and drove to Goldman Manor. It was only when the car pulled over at Goldman Manor's entrance that I snapped back to my senses.
He wanted to carry me out of the car, but I stopped him and clutched his shirt. "Don't, Caleb."
He was truly bold. He didn't care about my relationship with Michael and brought me here without any sign of wanting to keep this a secret.
Though Michael and I were over now, I didn't want the Goldman family to know that I'd already gotten involved with Caleb. Not so soon, anyway.
