Cameron opened Peggy's message. It read, "Thanks for keeping it a secret from Ms. Jones. Sorry for the trouble! She asked you to stay behind, right? I hope she didn't give you a hard time." Cameron replied with, "No, she didn't. She just wanted to make sure that I didn't cause you trouble." Peggy replied almost instantly. "What? Did she not believe us?" "No. She's just too worried about you," Cameron responded. He proceeded to brief Peggy on his conversation with Laura just now. It touched her heartstrings to know that Laura was so concerned about her. "I see," said Peggy. "I never knew I was so important to Ms. Jones." She knew Laura treated her with great kindness and always looked after her. It just never crossed her mind that Laura saw her as a sister and treated her as such. "You are," Cameron agreed. "But you treat her really well too. Back then, you must've risked a lot to come to me and tell me the truth, right?" Laura must've asked Peggy to keep it a secret.
