Chapter 19 - I'm Right

Lina had just gotten back to her office when Annie came to see her. "What were you doing in Angus' office?" Annie asked unkindly, she saw Lina go to Angus' office as soon as she came to the office, but the door of the office was closed and she had no way to hear what was going on inside. This made her feel angry. "Work." Lina replied tersely. "Lina, I think you should recognize your position, you and Angus are just a fake couple, he will be willing to accompany you in this drama, not because he sees you, but because there is no way to refuse his father's arrangement, and, you should not be so close to Angus when you are already pregnant, end this relationship as soon as possible, I am doing it for your own good." Annie couldn't afford to wait around doing nothing, she was declaring her sovereignty, she wanted to remind Lina that Angus' true love, was her. Lina looked at Annie lightly, her face completely lacking the confidence a lover should have. "Thank you for thinking of me, but I have my own arrangements, or, if you have ideas, you can go talk to Angus." Lina really didn't want to say anything more to her. Both of these people were inexplicable. They loved each other, they loved each other, she never wanted to stop them, but they kept coming to disrupt their lives. Those who didn't know thought there was a complicated romance between them. Annie looked at Lina already busy with work and had to leave. When it was almost noon, Lina felt a little thirsty and took a cup to go to the lounge to pour a cup of boiled water. She didn't expect Annie to be there. Annie leaned over the table, watched Lina pour the water and prepared to leave, followed her steps and quietly put her foot out, trying to trip Lina. Lina was tripped and immediately held the door, because she was wearing sneakers, so she didn't fall after holding the door, but the water in the cup spilled all over the floor because of the action she just took. But Annie's luck was not so good, she was going to let Lina fall. But Lina didn't fall, but she fell to the ground because she couldn't stand still. "Ah!" Annie's whole body fell to the ground after a loud scream. The place was not far from Angus' office, and when he heard Annie's voice, he came out and saw her fall to the ground. "Are you okay?" Lina asked with some concern, she was inside the lounge and didn't see Angus come over. And Annie was now upper body outside of the lounge, so she could just see Angus coming over. She pretended not to see it, her tears fell in an instant, and looked at Lina accusingly, "Lina, why did you push me?" Lina looked at Annie strangely, what happened? She was the one who almost fell just now, she held the door so that she didn't fall. How come Annie also fell so coincidentally? "Annie!" Angus walked over quickly and helped her up from the floor: "Are you okay?" "I'm fine, I don't blame Lina." Annie leaned her whole body against Angus' body and rubbed her knee. Lina finally understood why she had just asked that question. The phrase "I don't blame Lina" sounded like she was being generous, but in reality, it was clearly an accusation. "You pushed it?" Angus frowned and looked at Lina coldly. "Angus, forget it, I'm fine, don't be angry." Annie said it was fine, but the aggrieved look, anyone who looked at it would be heartbroken. Angus ignored Annie's words, his eyes kept staring at Lina. "I'm not." Lina wasn't about to go along with Annie's performance. "Apologize." Angus ordered coldly. Lina sneered, childish! She ignored Angus, but prepared to walk out, Annie's performance was wonderful, but she was not interested in being a supporting actress. Angus looked at her indifferent look, a little displeased, reached out and pulled her arm: "I said for you to apologize to Annie." "I said I didn't push it, there's no way I'm admitting fault to her." Lina pulled her hand out of Angus' grasp without a moment's hesitation. "If I had done it, the boiling water in the cup would not be on the floor, but on your face." Lina said to Annie and left the lounge. Annie looked surprised, she didn't think that Lina's mouth was so capable of talking. She shrank into Angus's arms in fear: "Angus, I'm scared." "She has pushed you down, and you still speak for her, you are too kind." Angus carried Annie to the chair, but his eyes fell on the spot where Lina was standing just now. She was so stubborn just now, and he couldn't find a trace of weakness in her eyes. If she was the one who pushed Annie, how could she accidentally let so much water spill out of her own cup? Thinking about it, Angus seemed to understand something. "Angus, I'm not being kind, I just love you too much, and I'm afraid that if I upset her, she'll threaten you with your contract." Annie leaned into Angus's arms in resignation. Angus picked up the tissue on the table and wiped away her tears. Seeing through the farce, he just assumed it was Annie who was insecure. She had given him even her first time to save him, and hadn't even fought for anything for herself after learning of the marriage her father had arranged for him. Compared to Lina, who was pregnant at twenty, all Annie did was fear loss. This is one of the reasons why he would commit to marry her. He would not be moved by anyone, whether it was Lina now or Annie in the not-too-distant future. Emotions would only cause him problems, something he had known very well when he was very young. "Rest yourself here, if it still hurts, wait until Alan comes back, I'll ask him to take you to the hospital." Angus said and left the lounge. A triumphant smile appeared on Annie's face. Only this scene was not missed by Angus who had just walked out. Almost at the end of the day, Annie received a call from Hansen. "Hansen, is something wrong with Dad?" Lina asked anxiously. "No, I just want you to come to the hospital for a while if you have time, there is something I want to talk to you about." Hansen's tone was a little serious. "Okay, I'll come over after work." Lina always felt that Hansen was up to something, so after work, she rushed straight to the hospital. When she came to the hospital, she just saw Hansen sitting in a chair at the entrance of the ward and staring. This was a side of Lina that she hadn't seen before.
