“What about Fabiano?”Renee asked. “I’m going to make him pay for doing that to you.” Renee quickly shook her head.”Just let him go.Afterall,he’s family to you.Plus,he’s your older brother’s child.I wouldn’t want you to have a fallout with him.“ Dante smirked.”Are you worried about me?” He was surprised that she sounded worried about him.He had expected that she would want Fabiano to be tortured to death but instead,she didn’t want Dante to get in trouble with his family. This little girl realky cared about him. “Of course I am.You’re my fiancé.Even if Fabiano had really hurt me and I want him to pay for it.I also do not want you to do anything extremely bad to him.I just don’t you to be at war with your brother.” She held his hand tightly for fear that he might do something impulsive. Dante had mixed feelings.He felt touched when he stared into her eyes. In Renee’s eyes,he was the ugly third son who was in a difficult situation. He took her into his arms and hugged her,tightly. She sighed at his words and remained unmoved as he held her. Her small hand rubbed his back and she said to him. “Please listen to me,okay?Don’t do anything mean to Fabiano.I don’t want his father coming after you.I want you to be safe because you’re going to be my husband.And you’re going to be the one to love and protect me for the rest of my life.” Dante smiled,loving the sound of that. “Alright.I’ll try to let him go.” After breakfast,Renee took some medicine and then went to bed. Dante sat by the window for a long time until Romano came to tell him that Fabiano was awake. Dante grimaced and stared at the girl of the bed,his eyes held great affection for her. He then went to the warehouse and saw Fabiano tied to a pillar.His nose was swollen and his face was blue. One of his teeth had been knocked out. He trembled as soon as he caught sign of Dante. Dante smirked at him which frightened him even more. “Please,Uncle…let me go.I admit I was wrong.I promise I will never do something like that again.Please don’t hurt me anymore…I will…” His pleas didn’t work at all as a hard fist collided with his belly before he could finish his words. His head lowered in pain and he couldn’t speak for a long time. “Untie him.”Dante ordered Romano who quickly did that. Fabiano dropped to the floor as soon as he was untied and then he started crawling,trying to escape. Dante stepped on his hand. “You hit her with this hand,right?”And then he crushed the hard harder causing Fabiano to burst into tears. “No…no…Please…please stop…I…I had no idea she was your woman.” “No?Then I guess it’s your right hand.” Quickly,he trampled on his right hard and crushed it hard as well. Fabiano passed out,not only from the pain of having his hand crushed,but also from the pain Dante had inflicted on him the previous night.Plus,he was starving. “Throw the fool back to his parents’ house and tell them that I had gone easy on him.If he doesn’t dare behave after this,he’ll die by my hands so it’ll be advisable that they start working on another child as soon as possible.” It was a hot summer day,but the warehouse seemed to be in a cold winter month. Both Romano and Max were both stunned by how angry Dante was. They had never see him this mad before. Romano carried Fabiano over his shoulder and headed for the door. “Do not let Renee know that I did anything to Fabiano,okay?”Dante warned. They both nodded. ************** Renee slept until noon and when she woke up,she was tensed because she had missed an important class and she needed to go back to school,asap. When she informed Dante to drop her off at her dorm,he refused. “You’re hurt.You won’t be able to take care of yourself.You should stay here for a few days and recover.It’s not negotiable.” “I have a roommate.She can take care of me.” “No.I want to take care of you and I can’t bear the thought of you hurt and being so far away.” “I can’t afford to miss any more classes.” “Is that it?Give me an hour and I’ll find out all the classes you’re to take in the coming days,I’ll have your lecturers come here to teach you.” Renee’s jaw dropped.”Can…can you really do that?” Dante smirked.”Sweetheart,I can do anything and everything.” “But…but it’s not going to be the same as learning in a lecture hall.” “I’ll have one of the halls in my house set up in the form of a lecture hall.” Now,she wanted to pull his hair out. “Why are you being so difficult?!”She yelled. After a lot of begging and yelling,he finally agreed to let her go back to school. Before she left that day,Renee applied some make up on her face to cover up the palm mark on her cheek. *********** She met up with her roommate that day.Allegra and Renee had gotten pretty close and Renee had already told her about Dante. “So…let me guess,you spent the night with Dante,didn’t you?I need all the juicy details.”Allegra cooed.
