ISABELLA’S P.O.V. I knew that the minute the underboss change was put into effect Enzo would have a shit ton of work on his plate but before then, I wanted to have a day off where we could just spend time together as a family. I didn’t mention my plan to anyone for fear of it being jinxed but I went out of my way to make my plans. I even set an alarm so I would get up before Enzo but that didn’t quite go according to plan because Enzo ended up shaking me awake. “Someone better be fucking dying because I don’t know why else you would put an alarm for four a.m,” he mumbled in my ear. “Do you want me to turn it off?” I mumbled something incomprehensible. I could barely focus on his words because I was exhausted and just wanted to sleep. He had to lean over me to turn it off and it was the exact moment he turned it off that awareness dawned on me and I sat up in a rush. I ended up hitting his nose with my head and he cursed. “Isabella, for fuck’s sake,” he cursed as he fell back in bed
